FSGS Conference… Exciting Events Planned!

The countdown is now a little over a week to the FSGS Annual Conference: “The Best of Times: Genealogy + Technology.”

Special NEW Thursday Sessions (check the website at www.flsgs.org)

“Society Management and Liaisons”Host Clyde Stickney and panelists Marlis Humphrey,  Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Orlando, Marilyn Newman, Jewish Genealogical Society of Palm Beach County, Nancy See, Englewood Genealogical Society and Susan van Vanno, Genealogical Society of South Brevard, will focus on three principal topics: growth (including attracting younger members), programs (including obtaining speakers at reasonable price and using webinars) and volunteerism.  There will be time for questions from the audience.

“Genealogy Software—Which one is right for you?”  Moderator Paul Enchelmayer, well-known for his expertise in technology and panelists Patti Martin (Roots Magic),  Marlis Humphrey (Legacy) and Sabrina Peterson (Family Tree Maker) will discuss several genealogy software programs.  The last half of the session will be questions from the audience.

    The name of the Hilton Hotel Deerfield Beach/Boca Raton has officially changed to a Doubletree Hotel. This does not affect the conference.
